Even though we may use different terms for what we are all seeking, such as peace, happiness, well-being, harmony—at a fundamental level, we are all searching for the truth of who we are. And if we want to discover the truth of our being, honesty and courage are key. Dishonesty and fear keep us stuck and honesty and fearlessness open us up—but as shown in this book the type of honesty and courage that open us up is not what we typically think of as honesty and courage.
Before the realization, we often move through stages of denial, blaming others and then blaming ourself. Initially, we may deny that we are not happy but when we become more honest we admit we aren’t but then often move into blaming others or life for our unhappiness. And then when we become more honest we admit that blaming others isn’t working to get what we want, but then often move into blaming ourself for our unhappiness. And then…for those who are open to see that blaming yourself is not working to get what you want, there is ‘a way’ to jump out of that entire way of seeing into the true sense of your wholeness. But this book does not leave you once you have discovered your natural sense of well-being. Because after the realization, there is, for most of us, a process of stabilization and integration that can be quite intense for a while. After the realization, honesty and courage take on a new kind of clarity and focus. Once we discover the truth then there is an intensity and clarity born of love that looks through and sets free all that seems to bind us. We, more and more, (without end—in my experience, anyway) come to ‘admit’ and relax and expand into the truth of who we are and to live that out fearlessly. Gradually, it becomes clear that any sense of lack and fear is some type of resistance to the truth of our being. We come to see that all resistance is a kind of dishonesty - resistance is a denial of what actually is ...Wholeness. To live freely and well is why we are here—and it is my desire that whoever is drawn to read this blog or book clearly sees through all that seems to bind them into the ever expanding fullness of freedom. It is all very simple. Instead of seeing things imagined, learn to see them as they are. When you can see everything as it is, you will also see yourself as you are. It is like cleansing a mirror. The same mirror that shows you the world as it is, will also show you your own face."
