Two Kinds of Hope: One From a Sense of Lack and the Other From a Knowing There is No Lack

Thank you to all who contacted me about my last blog post. Some of those comments prompted me to reflect a bit more and elaborate a bit further on another kind of hope that is not coming from a sense of lack.

And although what I share here may seem contradictory to what I recently shared - I invite everyone who reads this to see for yourself if you also can find this other kind of hope in your own experience.

The hope I wrote about in the previous post is the kind of hope many have when they believe the answer to what they are now seeking will be found in the future. They believe that now is lacking and something later will be better.

This kind of hope is a conditioned reaction when we are unaware of our true nature of Wholeness. We believe something is now missing.

But - there is another kind of 'hope' that comes into the forefront when we are aware of our essence - when we know nothing is missing.

When we have a sense of our innate Wholeness there is a knowing that all is well now. Nothing is lacking. So hope for something in the future to fill us up just doesn't make sense anymore.

But there is another kind of hope that comes into focus. It's a kind of knowing of what is possible for us collectively.

When we know the peace that is the very nature of everyone and we begin to see how this knowing changes the way we relate to others we can also see how this understanding has the potential to change the way we relate to each other collectively.

This hope for the collective is not coming from a sense of lack. It is coming from a knowing of what is fully possible now.

Hope for what is fully possible now while simultaneously knowing all is well now regardless of anything that is happening is very different than hope for something better than now because we feel something is wrong.

In your own experience, can you sense this other kind of hope?

When you're still and open - can you sense the Wholeness that you are? That there is nothing actually missing or wrong?

And as the sense of stillness and peace comes more to the forefront - can you also get a sense of what is possible for us collectively?

It is my deepest hope that 2019 is full of more and more of us stabilizing in the knowing of Wholeness (regardless of anything that happens).

This understanding of our true nature is the loving foundation for a completely different way of living on this beautiful planet together.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Happy NOW Year

Happy Now Year instead of Happy New Year
is kind of like the difference between
curiosity and hope.

Although we're conditioned to feel hope is helpful
when we really take a look at it
we can see hope keeps our attention in the future.
There is really no way around that.
When we're hopeful we're not interested in now -
only in a certain outcome in the future.

Curiosity, however, is different.
Very different than hope.
Like a young child brimming with curiosity,
attention is fully open to now -
with no stake in any outcome.

'Happy Now Year'
has the eyes of a child.
Curious, open, relaxed,
not interpreting or judging.
Discovering not projecting.
Sensing not analyzing.
Enjoying not anticipating.

It is all very simple. Instead of seeing things imagined, learn to see them as they are. When you can see everything as it is, you will also see yourself as you are. It is like cleansing a mirror. The same mirror that shows you the world as it is, will also show you your own face."

      Einstein said,
    "No problem can be solved
      from the same
       level of consciousness
           that created it."

    To see new solutions
       we must see differently.
