Feeling Bad Does Not Mean You Are Bad

1/25/2021

Have you noticed how conditioned we are to trust our feelings
whenever we feel bad about ourself?

When we feel guilt or shame we’re programmed to trust those feelings.
We believe that feeling bad about ourself is justified because we are bad.
After all, we wouldn’t feel bad if we weren’t actually bad, right?

We don’t realize that the feeling bad, the shame and guilt,
is not the actual Truth but is a kind of lie detector pointing us back to Truth.

When we feel bad about ourself it’s as if Truth is saying,

“Your understanding is way off base. You are believing a lie.
You feel bad not because you’ve understood who you are
but because you’ve misunderstood who you are.
Feeling bad about yourself is always my loving feedback

inviting you, coaxing you, to please go deeper
than any thought or feeling. You are so much more -
so     much     more.”

The Divine Child

by the spiritual teacher Mooji

We are divine beings in a state of recovery,
re-discovering our divinity,
winning back ourselves from states of delusion.

However, the mind is very much a key player
in the drama called life, because without it,
the consciousness cannot experience
the necessary friction for transcendence to occur.
And transcendence is the whole purpose of the game.

It is a kingly game when seen
with eyes of understanding.
If you stay stuck in personhood, life will kick your ass.

But if you are open to Truth, then you are continuously
expanding into greater and greater seeing.
Finally, you will exclaim,
‘I love this stepping out of the shadow of myself
into the bright light of my Self.’

If my words are true,
it is you who make them true.
They come alive inside you
because you listen inside your heart and accept them.

Not just the words, but what they point to
somehow recognizes itself,
and the stagnant, the suppressed,
vanishes in the light of this real seeing.

The serpent-mind loses its tongue
in the presence of the real Self.
You are the Self.

The Most Insidious Fake News Around

1/18/2021

There is a kind of war, fueled by 'fake news', going on within most human beings.
And this internal war can’t help but project itself into creating all kinds of external chaos.

The war within, fueled by fake news, makes us feel that there's something wrong or shameful about ourself or others and by any means necessary we need to keep trying to fix that.

Fake news not only convinces us that what we actually are is inherently flawed
but that the solution to this nonexistent problem lies in control and manipulation.

What a tangled web of lies this fake news creates!

The lies tell us :
If we just get better at controlling our thoughts
or suppressing our feelings
or manipulating others to do what we feel is right
then finally all will be well.

And even though none of that ever really works very well we hold out hope that one day it will.

Yet - at the core of all major religions there is a teaching that exposes all of that as ‘fake news’ -  as completely and utterly untrue.

Although many different words are used
the essence of the teaching within the core of all major religions is the same:

We are not what we think we are.
Our true nature is already fully whole.
Nothing is lacking.
Wholeness is our reality.
All is already well.

Allow just one conscious breath to 'bring you Home.'
Surrender to the inbreath and outbreath.
Control nothing.

Allow What Is here now to reveal itself to you.

Just one breath will do just fine.

If You Like Butterflies Please Don't Do This

1/11/2021

There's a saying “If you like butterflies you don’t go around stepping on caterpillars.”

With what’s going on in our country at the moment with all of the divisiveness it’s easy to point fingers at others views or actions and not consider anything deeper.

When we are in pain we do hurtful things. There is no way around this.
In order to live well we must come to a place where we are no longer suffering.

When we look at what people do (or even at what we do) and judge them (or ourself)  as bad it's similar to seeing a caterpillar - and only seeing a caterpillar.
Picture

Eyes turned inward see the butterfly in every caterpillar.
It is already so - at the very same time it is becoming so.

Sometimes it takes some time
for us to shed enough layers of our 'cocoon'
in order for the warmth of What Already Is to be revealed.

It is all very simple. Instead of seeing things imagined, learn to see them as they are. When you can see everything as it is, you will also see yourself as you are. It is like cleansing a mirror. The same mirror that shows you the world as it is, will also show you your own face."
      Sri Nisargadatta     Maharaj

      Einstein said,
    "No problem can be solved
      from the same
       level of consciousness
           that created it."

    To see new solutions
       we must see differently.
