The listening to the still small voice is more like a sensing …
Sense now if there is anything to fear.
Sense now if there is anything lacking.
Sense now directly ‘if all is well already’.
When we can bear to allow
what's coming and going
to come and go
there is 'a Whoosh'
what doesn't come and go.
Noticing thoughts without following them -
Feeling feelings without a story about them
allows them all to come and go....
laying bare what is always
here and now.
The Divine Child
by the spiritual teacher Mooji
We are divine beings in a state of recovery,
re-discovering our divinity,
winning back ourselves from states of delusion.
However, the mind is very much a key player
in the drama called life, because without it,
the consciousness cannot experience
the necessary friction for transcendence to occur.
And transcendence is the whole purpose of the game.
It is a kingly game when seen
with eyes of understanding.
If you stay stuck in personhood, life will kick your ass.
But if you are open to Truth, then you are continuously
expanding into greater and greater seeing.
Finally, you will exclaim,
‘I love this stepping out of the shadow of myself
into the bright light of my Self.’
If my words are true,
it is you who make them true.
They come alive inside you
because you listen inside your heart and accept them.
Not just the words, but what they point to
somehow recognizes itself,
and the stagnant, the suppressed,
vanishes in the light of this real seeing.
The serpent-mind loses its tongue
in the presence of the real Self.
You are the Self.
Allow just one conscious breath to 'bring you Home.'
Surrender to the inbreath and outbreath.
Allow What Is here now to reveal itself to you.
Just one breath will do just fine.
Most people on a spiritual path
don’t feel that life will ever get to a point that it is free of challenges –
but do feel that challenges will no longer confuse them out of what they know to be true.
When we have some glimpse of Wholeness – this ‘All is Well’ sense of life –
it's very helpful to then see challenges as opportunities
to find out if Peace is fleeting or ever present.
Not to assume either way but to directly find out in the moment.
Is Peace, our true nature, based on certain conditions
(my body being healthy or my loved one being sensitive)
or is Peace actually unconditional (present regardless of any condition)?
This we can’t fully discover by only sitting on a meditation cushion.
We can only discover if Peace is unconditional
in the midst of all kinds of conditions
such as an illness or a loved one’s insensitivity.
May all those reading this who are on a spiritual path
not waste this challenge we are now collectively facing
but fully open to it gifts.
Just as the sunflowers' inclination is to turn toward the Sun
regardless of what is happening around or within it,
may our intention for Truth hold steady
no matter what is happening.
The universal principle that peace is not only the end but the means
makes complete sense - when it relates to world peace.
But somehow when we turn within to inner peace
the understanding that peace is also the means
doesn't seem to make sense to many.
Many seekers continue to believe that they need to
change, fix, eliminate or fight with their thoughts and feelings
and don't consider the possibility of simply being peaceful with them.
Notice - how when you're not fighting with thoughts and feelings
you can sense a space around them.
Notice how powerful this peaceful noticing is -
and what it reveals.
It is all very simple. Instead of seeing things imagined, learn to see them as they are. When you can see everything as it is, you will also see yourself as you are. It is like cleansing a mirror. The same mirror that shows you the world as it is, will also show you your own face."
